Rodger Kiepe – Designated Pastor

Rev. Kiepe began ministry graduating from St. Louis Christian College with a Bachelor of Sacred Literature Degree in 1978.  Both Rodger and his wife Mindy are graduates of Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO and hold partnership standing as ordained clergy in both the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and in the United Church of Christ. In 1995 Rodger joined the Christian Church of Mid-America (Disciples of Christ) Regional Staff in Jefferson City, MO as the Executive Director of Rickman Conference Center.  In 2001 he became the Director of Development and Stewardship for the Mid-America Region.  In 2002 he became Interim Area Minister of the Southeast Gateway Area of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  He served as Senior Minister at Abbey Road Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Cape Girardeau, MO in 2003, where he continued to serve until coming to Hermann.

The Kiepe’s have a permanent home in Farmington, MO on a small farm where they own a boarding and training stable and enjoy riding and showing Tennessee Walking horses.  The Kiepe’s enjoy traveling cross country on their Harley, water sports, and spending time with their two sons and family, including 3 grandchildren.

Fay Scheible – Secretary

Fay has been the church secretary and bookkeeper at St Paul for 19 years.  She was born and raised in this community and attended local schools. She and her husband live on a nearby farm.  We are always blessed to have Fay in the office, but especially during this time of ministerial transition.

LaNette Kotthoff – Music Director

LaNette has held the position of St Paul Music Director for 10 years, following the 59 years her father, B A Wagner, served in the position. She has been actively involved in music and performing since the age of five. LaNette attended St. Louis Institute of Music, Washington University, and East Central College majoring in voice and piano. LaNette has taught both, sang with the St Louis Symphony chorus for 9 seasons and has appeared in numerous local productions.

Lois Kruse – Organist

 Lois began piano lessons with Myrtle Wagner, St Paul Church Organist, at age 8 and organ lessons her senior year in high school. In 1974 upon Mrs. Wagner’s retirement after 65 years, Lois began serving as our church organist, a position she continues in to this day.  Lois has also served as a member of St Paul choir.

Ruth Hulsey – Bell Choir Director

Ruth Hulsey, pianist, and bell ringer since 2005, has served as Director of the St Paul UCC Handbell Choir since 2012 and is both director and ringer in the smaller ensemble group, ‘The Chancel Ringers’.  As members of Handbell Musicians of America, formerly known as AGEHR, Ruth and her fellow self-taught ringers have expanded their skills by attending music clinics and Area 8 conferences.
